Quick info: Withered Ink was to have been a separate site for the Pullips. It all began with Withered and Ink, hence the name of the site. ^_^; It'll probably be a site of its own later, but for now, I'm lazy, so we'll put all entries here. There's actually a storyline...which stopped because Withered became Tangled, and we needed Withered. ^_^;

If you look in the archive, you can check out the stories, as well as the miscellaneous pictures and rambles while discovering and customising the Pullips and Namus.

What are Pullips?
Pullips are big-headed dolls with 1/6 bodies sold by JUN Planning, Japan. Pullip is the line of female dolls while the males are called Namu. The irregular head and body are pretty startling, but you get used to it after a while. If you like their faces, it helps. ^_~

The Pullips were first made with jointed hard vinyl bodies. With Nomado, they started using soft ones bodies (with hard vinyl here and there). For the Namu, the bodies are still hard vinyl--something which I hope never changes. We don't need soft pectorals and abs, I'd think. *wince*

JUN Planning has always been releasing new Pullips and Namus, and they've never reproduced any of the old models. As such, if you like a particular Pullip, you might like to buy it before it becomes rare. Sometimes, they release even more limited editions for special events in a specific number. ^_^

Me:
I've been admiring the Pullips ever since the first ones came out. Back then, I wanted Moon and Street, Street especially. And when Squall was released, she seemed a perfect image of a character of mine and I've always kept her on my "to get" list. Then Withered and Noir came long. Oh. Noir was absolutely adorable, and Withered looked like such a cute boy. ^_^ And after months of looking and never buying, I went and did it. I wanted to get just one doll. But when I found out that getting two was cheaper, I went ahead and got Noir and Withered. ^_^ I forgot who it was I had wanted to get first, but I've always been glad I bought them both together. Ink and Withered had a magic together which I'd never expected, hence the photo stories. I will own a Street one day, because she's always been the first one I've always wanted. ^_^
