[flatboys] Kefin
Anyone remember Nahaten? Well, okay, so most of you reading this blog won't even know who the hell Nahaten is. ^_^; We'll get back to that one of these days.
Anyways, I have two Bratz Cades. The one who came with the bike is called Nahaten. And Jo gave me a sunkissed Cade. And I was just commenting to a friend that I didn't know if we could remove the heads on the Bratz Boyz... And well, the night after that, I was bored and I was staring at my two Cades... And I decided I wanted to repaint one. So I stared and stared to see who would be my victim. I found that I was attached to how vulnerable and sweet Nahaten's eyeprint looked. So Sunkissed Cade was the victim. Hohohoho.
I grabbed him, and pulllled. And the head came off. Hahaha. And then a few days later (that's today, for the record), I picked up my toner, paintbrush and paints. And well, we now have Kefin.

Kefin and Nahaten are brothers. ^_^
Now, for the before and after pics of Kefin, and some other details...

Damn harpoon thing in the neck snapped back when the head popped off and whacked my thumb pretty well. Skin came off my thumb, damn it. ^_^;

I'd chosen sunkissed Cade to repaint because he had a look which appealed to me. One that didn't go with the thick eyebrows. ^_~ But admittedly, I didn't have any idea how I wanted to paint the eyebrows. I just decided to do what seemed natural.

The left eyebrow (right for Kefin) turned out pretty nice, so I tried to do the right one. And well, the lil branch happened and stayed cos I couldn't be bothered to erase it and try again. ^_^;; I gave the corner of his eyes a bit of a tilt, not that it's noticeable.
The lil mark down his left eye (right eye for us) was intended. The one across the bottom of his right eye wasn't meant to stay, but well, I was too lazy to rub it off. ^_^; The horns weren't planned for either. I wanted to paint something across his empty forehead and well, I made a mistake and er...it looked like a horn so I decided to just draw another one on the other side. ^_^;; The marks on his lips were intended. At first, I had been painting his lips dark, but well, it turned out very goth, which I'm not sure I want for him right now. So I just drew those lines on one side of his bottom lip. ^_^ Don't ask me why but ever since I drew them on Shy, I've grown to like the look. ^_^;
Kefin might probably be touched up some more in the future. Maybe given a stud or two or three. But he looks pretty good right now (to me). Hohohoho.

For some reason, Nahaten has such a girly-seeming face next to Nahaten. It might be just me but it seems that Nahaten's face is slightly longer than Kefin's.
One thing I know for sure is: Kefin has a thing for Nahaten. Hohohoho. He's just found his place among our Flatboys. ^__^ He'll get to meet Zev, Railen and the others soon, I hope. ^o^
Where can we see more Flatboys? I'd like to meet them!
Hi Seph,
How do you remove the facial features on the faces?
i've been wanting to purchase and bratz doll and cutomize her but didn't know what to use (paints, removers,etc)
Also, congratulations on your Squall. I have her too. I gave her a hair cut cuz her hair was so badly tangled when she arrived.
You do such nice work.
Could you please send me some tips on how to repaint the faces?
Also, Do you own a Bratz girl doll? I was just wondering what their feet are like. Do their feet come off? or are the shoes interchangeable by slipping the shoe on and off?
jenn
Hiya Lochness. I'm afraid the Flatboys will need to have a proper site first before I will show any of their photo stories. *laughs* They're uber gay and horny, hence I've shown off the links in public yet. *grin*
Jenn, I don't own a lot of girls, I admit. Ink and Withered are the only exception. ^_~ I used a toner called Mr Levelling Toner to remove the facepaint. But it's been said that acetone/nail polish remover will work. You'll have to do your research on that one though. I use Liquitex acrylic paints. Water-based so they will wash off easily. Er...I dont have any tips on painting faces. Hahaha. -_- I'm just making it up as I go along. Kefin's my first experience on painting a head like his. Keep's my first Pullip eyebrow makeover as well. Haha.
(Squall isn't mine. She belongs to a friend. Hopefully we will have pics of my Pullips with Squall this weekend. ^_^)
Yep!
Nail polish remover works great! The best is to let it stand for a few seconds and then to scratch the paint off with your fingernail. Be careful, though, if your fingers stay too long in contact with the product, you might get burned! So it's sometimes better to just use fine sandpaper...
As for the Bratz, you have to remove their entire feet, but they usually come with 2 different pairs.
I hope it's gonna help...

*laughs* I completely forgot about the feet question!! ^_^ Thanks Lochness~
